Once your order is ready in our warehouse for delivery, this could be a stocked item or made to order, our booking team will call and arrange delivery. Our deliveries take place on weekdays, once a delivery day has been arranged with you, the day before you will receive an SMS message with a 2 hour time slot.
Our delivery team will take your bed or mattress to the room (as long as the path is clear from obstacles and breakables) and we will also assemble your new divan or ottoman divan for free. We will also remove all packaging for recycling should you require.
Bedsteads can be assembled for a small fee.
Sound Sleep Bed Store offer free delivery across most of Norfolk and Suffolk. Deliveries are carried out by our professional delivery team. Our deliveries are carried out on weekdays and when your goods are ready for delivery we will call and provide a delivery day. This is initially an all-day slot, however if you have provided us with a mobile telephone number, we will send you an SMS message the day before with a 2 hour delivery window.
In some areas we can offer a morning or afternoon slot, this would have a small charge of £30. Please speak with a member of our team to see if this is possible.
Our team will deliver to the room of your choice, all we ask is that the path way is clear and any breakable items are removed to ensure a problem free journey to your bedroom.
We offer delivery in Norfolk and Suffolk only, within a 25 mile radius of our stores, Sound Sleep in Winfarthing (near Diss) and Beds Norwich located in the city of Norwich. We only use our own delivery team for divans, ottomans and full size mattresses as these are not suitable to be delivered by untrained couriers as they will damage in transit. Vacuum packed mattresses and bedding may be sent via a courier service.
Stocked items are usually available for delivery within a few days. We carry a large collection of mattresses and divan bases available from stock for faster delivery, if you require something quickly we would advise calling or visiting one of our stores so we can advise products available on our fastest delivery.
Due to the vast array of sizes, storage options, headboard styles and fabric collections, many of our beds are made to order and would usually be delivered in under 2 weeks. More specialist items and handmade beds from manufacturers such as Hypnos could be upto 4 weeks. Give us a call or email to check leadtimes.
In store orders
When you place an order online or in store, our team will give you an approximate delivery lead-time which will also be on the paper order confirmation you are given at point of sale.
These lead-times are given in good faith but can be subject to change on very rare occasions.
Once your order arrives with our warehouse, our booking team will call you and arrange a suitable delivery day. This delivery will be Monday - Friday and will be an all day slot initially, however you will receive a SMS message the day before with a 2 hour timeslot.
On delivery our team will deliver to the room and assemble if required, please ensure the goods you have ordered will fit in the room and you have suitable access as this is your responsibility to check. Once assembled and in place, our team will show you your new bed or mattress and advise you on care instructions.
Then they will leave you happy and smiling with your new bed!
Online orders
When you place an order online Sound Sleep Beds or Beds Norwich, you will receive an automated email confirmation shortly after (remember to check your junk if you don't!). Once this is picked up by our team at the store, we will email you an official order and our team will give you an approximate delivery lead-time.

We offer the best value recycling! We will recycle your old mattress for £25 or the whole bed (including mattress) for just £40.
All beds and mattresses collected are fully recycled, we do not send any waste to landfill.
We do ask that your old bed is dismantled and ready to go where possible and that there are no screws or sharps sticking out as we do not want to damage your home or our delivery team.
We regret that we are unable to remove any soiled or wet items, so please keep everything inside and dry until your delivery day. Any soiled items can be uplifted by your local authority bulky waste collection service.
Will you assemble my new bed?
We will assemble your new bed for you in the room as long as the room is clear and ready. All divans and divan ottomans are assembled free of charge, bedsteads (e.g. wood or metal beds) would incur a small fee. Please arrange this with the store when ordering.
All adjustable beds are installed free of charge.
We will also remove all packaging for recycling if we have assembled your bed for you.
